The location was particularly good for exploring the pleasant quiet area, just off beautiful Yorkshire. I got a decent sized and airy room with a nice bath and shower, as advertised. The provided service was good.

It is centrally located and down to earth, a village pub atmosphere.
The restaurant food was expensive and the quality of service did not reflect the high prices.

The restaurant offered a wide variety of reasonably priced excellent dishes, making it a great place to dine.

The staff were the only saving grace of this Inn.
The room was disgusting, the shower room ceiling was covered in mould, the room was very drab and need decorating. Overall the room was very depressing and dilapidated. The light in the shower room had no cover on it which exposed the bare wires and when you had a shower the lights would flash on and off due to the steam droplets reaching the wires. We booked three nights but only stayed one due to the above.

We had a good twin room on the ground floor with outside space to sit. There was plenty of space and a good bathroom, but no shower and poor lighting.
We booked two rooms, one of which was a single. That one was on the top floor and we were on the ground.
